The basic services of the Laboratory for pavement structures:
- Continuous survey of functional characteristics of pavement structures with Multi Functional
Vehicle ARRB Hawkeye H1000 Digital Laser Profiler (Produced by: ARRB Group, Australia):
– Longitudinal roughness (IRI, Ride Number, NAASRA, HATI, Bump Integrator),
– Transverse roughness – rut depth and transverse profile deformations (Rut Index),
– Macrotexture – parameters of friction/roughness ability (ETD, MPD and SMTD),
– Megatexture – noise level (LTxMe, LTx500, LTx63),
– Georeferenced image of the pavement condition from the aspect of surface damage and road inventory with a HD digital camera. - Continuous measurement of the friction ability of the pavement surface expressed by Longitudinal
friction coefficient using GripTester with longitudinal fixed slip ratio (LFCG): GripTester, Findlay Irvine, Scotland, UK. - Skid resistance test of the pavement surface with SRT pendulum – Skid Resistance Tester.
- Continuous survey of structural characteristics of pavement structures:
– Continuous survey of the structure of the pavement structure with the radar system RIS HI-Pave system, IDS GeoRadar-Hexagon, Italy.
– Measurement of deformability of pavement structures (deflection basins) with falling weight deflectometer – FWD and/or Super HWD 320kN, Dynatest, Denmark, Falling
Weight Deflectometer (9 geophones) and/or Super Heavy Falling Weight Deflectometer (10 geophones).
